This course is designed to meet university, state, and community college English requirements and to prepare students for the CHSEE.  It provides a balanced, unified program of instruction in language, literature, and composition, engaging students in appropriate practice in listening, reading, speaking, writing and critical thinking skills.  This course will also provide a broad background in fundamental English skills and traditional contemporary literature.
